What is going to happen?
You may be signed out of the Contacts+ iOS app after we roll out an upcoming update. This can occur when we release a new version with important changes or security improvements.
How to sign back in
Open the Contacts+ app on your iPhone.
Tap “Sign in”.
You can just enter the same email address you used before with Contacts+.
You need to use the Log In option available on the app screen, as shown in the screenshot, to access the sign-in page.
Once you sign in with the correct email, your contacts, tags, and other details will sync back into the app as usual.
If you don’t remember which email you used
Try these steps:
Check your email inboxes for old Contacts+ emails (like welcome emails, subscription receipts, or notifications). The address that received them is likely the one linked to your account.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, try the same Google account or Apple ID you normally use for apps and subscriptions on this device.
If you still aren’t sure, you can contact our support team and share the email addresses you might have used so we can help you identify the correct one.
Avoid creating a new account by mistake
When you sign in after the update, make sure you log in instead of signing up for a new account.
If you use a different email address than before, the app will create a brand‑new account.
That new account will be empty and won’t show your existing contacts, tags, notes, or subscription details, because they are still linked to your original email.
If you see that your account looks empty or your Premium features are missing, sign out and sign back in using your earlier email address.
Why using your existing email is more important than creating a new account
Using your existing email keeps everything you already have in Contacts+ together:
Your saved contacts and merged duplicates stay in one place, so you don’t lose work you’ve already done, keeping your address book clean.
Your subscription (if you have Premium) stays active on the same account, so you don’t pay twice or lose access to Premium features like advanced sync or email signature extraction.
Features that enrich or update existing contacts (like email signature scanning) work best when all your data is tied to one account, instead of being split across multiple logins.
It’s easier to manage your data across devices (Web, iOS, Android, etc.) when you always use the same login details.
Creating a new account with a different email might seem faster in the moment, but it can be confusing later because your contacts, tags, and subscriptions end up scattered across multiple accounts instead of all being safely stored under one consistent email.
