How can I automatically block spam or hidden numbers?
Contacts+ can automatically block calls and SMS from numbers that were reported as spam by the Contacts+ community, or calls from unknown hidden or private numbers.
To turn it on, touch the menu button (' ≡ ' on the top left corner) -- select 'settings' (⚙) -- and turn on the "block all known spammers" and "block private numbers" switches, as seen here:
How can I block a number from the calls tab?
You can easily block numbers from your calls tab by long pressing a row -- the app bar will switch to a multiple selection bar -- select additional rows (if relevant) -- touch the block button in the app bar --> touch OK to confirm.
You can also block a single number by touching that number's 3 dots menu button (right section) and selecting the block option.
How can I block a number from the SMS tab?
When Contacts+ is set as your default SMS app, you can easily block numbers from the SMS tab, by long pressing a row -- the app bar will switch to a multiple selection bar -- select additional rows (if relevant) -- touch the block button in the app bar -- touch OK to confirm.
How can I manually enter a number to my block list?
In case you want to block a number that does not appear in your calls or sms tabs, head over to our main settings screen -- select 'block numbers' -- touch the 'add number to block list' button -- select 'type a number' -- fill in the details, and touch OK to save it.
How can I unblock a number?
You can unblock any number that was manually added to your "block list". To do so, open our main settings screen -- select 'block numbers' -- touch one of the numbers that is saved under 'my blocked numbers' -- select 'remove'.
What happens when a call is blocked?
When a call is blocked, in most cases the caller will be automatically directed to your voicemail, without knowing they were blocked.
